I’m Franco Estrada
I’m a passionate sports enthusiast and a firm believer in the power of sport to shape lives, cultures, and communities. Since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by how sports reflect and influence society — from diversity and gender equity to social progress and global unity.
This page is my personal space to share reflections, essays, and experiences from my academic journey in Sport Management. About Me
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, a small island where sports aren’t just a pastime — they’re a way of life. Whether it was baseball, boxing, basketball, or golf, I grew up immersed in the rhythms of sports culture, and through them, I found my voice and identity.
After moving to Dallas, Texas, I pursued my undergraduate degree in Sport Management at the University of Texas at Austin — graduating with honors. Beyond the classroom, I gained hands-on experience in areas such as:
· Sports operations
· Social & digital media
· Event coordination
· Sport law
· Data and performance analytics
Now, I’m continuing my journey as a Master’s student in Sport Management at UT Austin. I’m driven to keep learning, exploring, and contributing meaningfully to the sports world, always guided by a deep commitment to inclusion, growth, and innovation in the field.
